The Inferior Superiors

We have been living a life
Based on a deceitful lie
That we are nothing as black skin,
Signified color of evil
Our whole culture a shambles
Our past burned up, now rubble

We have forgotten that we are royalty
Our golden black color our pride
Our rich culture, nothing to hide
Our vast wealth, birth right
Yet we give it all away, shameless
For a lie etched by a scribe

Remembering no "do not"

Once upon a time, we were young.
Once upon a time, we were kings of our castles.
Once upon a time, we didn't know hope, or fear or sadness. Because we lived in the moment. We laughed, we cried, and forgot the next minute. Once upon a time nothing could stop us - we owned everything, and everything was open to us. We did not have the "do not's" that we have now; we did not "do not" dream, "do not" laugh - these have been taught to us. Because our hearts were empty yet had no space for but that which we wanted.

Remember to always live once upon a time

Waltzing with Life

The absurd craziness
The absolute aliveness
of living a moment at a time
Unafraid, unworried
Of revolting stares
at your shameless dares
At you lack of shame
at your "life's a game"
